Со счётом вроде всё в порядке , ежемесячно получаю распечатки состояния счёта по почте. А вот с дебетной картой Visa для иностранных клиентов , у них возникли проблемы . Visa отменила с 1.02.08 дебетные карты для иностранцев не проживающих в Штатах , клиентов Tomato Bank-а и теперь они должны заменить выданные карты на какие-то другие , по которым можно будет только получать деньгу в банкоматах . Очень жаль .
Вот их письмо :
Dear Tomato Bank Account Holder;
We very much appreciate your business and are continually working to
provide you with the best in banking and card services.
Due to VISA® policy determinations, it has become necessary to
de-activate all VISA® debit cards that have been issued to individuals
who do not reside in the USA. We regret any inconveniences that this
may create.
The Tomato Bank Visa card that you now have will be cancelled
effective January 31, 2008. As of February 1, 2008, that card will
not function.
(This is a change from the letter that you either received, or will
soon receive with a replacement card).
However, YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WILL REMAIN OPEN, AND WE ARE PROVIDING YOU
WITH A REPLACEMENT CARD.
The new card is not a Visa card. However it can be used at millions
of ATMs and merchants worldwide. Nearly anywhere there is a PIN pad,
or option to enter a PIN number, your new card should function.
The new card cannot be used for online shopping, or for transactions
that do not use a PIN (Making it safer for your use).
You may use the same PIN number with the new card as you did with the
old card.
You may activate the new card by inserting it in an ATM and entering
your PIN number.
We have plans to increase the number of card options available for
Tomato Bank accounts soon, and thank you for your patience during this
transition.
We are also improving our security and compliance safeguards. We will
be notifying you of these safeguards in the coming days and weeks.
These measures are intended to protect both you and the bank from
improper use of the accounts. In addition to the documentation you
have already provided, we will be requiring employment or student
status verification to comply with the regulations we have regarding
'source of funds.'
Specifics on how we will receive the data will be forthcoming.
As always, we value your business and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Toda raba, Михаил851, спасибо за исчерпывающую информацию - без карты, получается, счёт в US bank не очень-то и нужен (для наших мелких затей).
Ещё один вопрос: нет ясности с положением дел вывода средств из PayPal в Израиле, в настоящее время.
С одной стороны, страна в списке (почти) полноценных участников платёжной системы; с другой стороны, на форуме встречался вопль о невозможности вывода денег...
Не проясните ситуацию?

К сожалению балда с Томатобанком закончилась . Вчера получил от них письмо :
Dear Accent Customer,
We regret to inform you that your TomatoBank checking account does not meet our “PAYROLL PROGRAM” requirements.
Effective immediately we will no longer honor any credits or issue any ATM cards for your account. Withdrawals will only be permitted on existing funds. If you are expecting payments we recommend that you contact the payees to make alternate payment arrangements.
We advise that you withdraw your funds prior to March 31, 2008 as your account will automatically close when your account reaches a zero balance or on March 31, 2008. Any presentments after closure will not be honored and returned as “Account Closed”.
Your cooperation with this matter is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions regarding this letter or require additional information please feel free to contact customer service at debitcardservice@tomatobank.com .
